Why and how are the North Carolina
Knights of Columbus helping Room At The Inn?

Fr. Michael McGivneyFather McGivney’s first miracle is, simply, the Knights of Columbus.  An organization started in a small parish in New Haven, Connecticut by a handful of men and a priest who saw the need and answered the call.  The Knights are now over 1.7 million strong in 13,000 councils in 14 countries.  Noble men of humble means who in the last decade have given over $1.5 BILLION dollars to our Church and worthy causes throughout the world…

Father McGivney’s gift was that of activism and organization.  We are now asked in the spirit of that gift to answer the call in confronting the scourge of abortion in our country.  Noble Knights of humble means, unified in purpose and filled with the Spirit, will raise the “Father Michael J. McGivney Center for Life” adjacent to the campus of Belmont Abbey College, the first such ministry in the nation!   (Learn more about the plans for this facility in the Our Future section of the web site.) The Knights of Columbus councils in North Carolina are striving to raise a gift of over one million dollars so that many women will be saved from the tragedy of abortion and many children will be spared a painful death.  This facility will give pregnant women the opportunity to complete their higher education while giving life to their child.

Mass for the Holy Innocents at Belmont AbbeyYou have found your way to this page for a reason!  Please answer the call and make a pledge now to Room At The Inn’s Capital Campaign.  Help us light this fire of mercy and hope, taking the cause of Life to the campus and to women most at risk of abortion.

Through the intercession of Father McGivney, we ask the Holy Spirit to fill the hearts of His Knights and through them renew the face of the earth.
